How the new system works
Making An Appointment

If you wish to make an appointment with your doctor please telephone the surgery. The receptionist will take a contact number and book you a call back with the appropriate doctor. If there are times of the day you are unable/able to take a call, please advise the receptionist.
Please note our receptionists will ask you for a brief discription of the problem to ensure your appointment is booked with the correct clinician.
Your doctor will phone you back and make appropriate arrangements with you, they may be able to deal with your problem by telephone, but if you need to come in, the doctor will arrange a suitable appointment for you on the same day.
Please note our busiest times for the telephone lines is 8am-9.30am, so please note you may not get through straight away.
Routine pre-bookable doctor appointments are available to book online using our online booking facility. If you are not yet registered for online services please ask a receptionist for a registration form.
If you require an appointment with one of our nurses,healthcare assistants or phlebotomist you may continue to book an appointment at reception.
Book an appointment
The practice offers numerous options to enable you to book an appointment with the right clinician for your needs. This will not always be a doctor as we have a full Multi Discipline Team that have expertise in specific areas and include GP, Nurse, Nurse prescriber, Clinical Practitioner, First Contact Physio, HCA, Clinical Pharmacist, Mental Health Link Worker as well as the community pharmacists.
We have the usual telephone booking system, but we also offer appointments via the NHS app where you can book into a slot that suits you. If you have a non-urgent request, you can press the ‘contact us’ button on our website and one of our team will assess your request and come back to you within 72 hours, this is usually used for non-urgent appointments, sick notes, blood results etc.
We currently offer a mix of same day telephone consultations, same day face to face consultations and pre-bookable appointments across the full Multi Disciplined Team. The reception team will ask you some basic questions to ensure you are booking in with the right clinician for your needs and to inform the clinician of the clinical need and urgency.
